Very interesting and disturbing news to come out of Jets land today. Take a look at this tweet from beat reporter Rich Cimini:

Latest blow to Jets’ CB situation: Dimitri Patterson has gone AWOL, according to John Idzik. Unexcused absence. Never showed for game. #nyj

According to reports, he is not harmed, but he is not answering messages left for him by the team. Patterson hasn’t been released by the team yet, as it seems they are looking to investigate further.

I actually believe that is the right move here. We don’t know for sure, at this point, that Patterson is doing something inappropriate. If he is, then John Idzik and company would be best to give him his walking papers.

But, something else could be going on here, and the Jets should do their due diligence to find out what happened, before jumping to any conclusions.

Sad to say, it could be anything, we don’t really know.
