The scene above is not going to stay a familiar one, at least not for now.
Willie Colon, seen above on the bikes earlier in training camp, has been released from the PUP,Physically Unable to Perform, list. He can now participate in all phases of training camp with the rest of his teammates.
This is great news for Jets’ fans, as the offensive line will be a huge key to the Jets’ success in 2013. Colon was a mainstay on the offensive line last year, starting all 16 games at his right guard position.
Colon underwent surgery in the off-season, and he wasn’t quite ready to get back on the field at the start of training camp, but he is ready to go now. He is a feisty guy, just the type that head coach Rex Ryan loves, as he always plays like a Jet.
Colon will be a welcome addition back on the line, giving the veteran influence along with Nick Mangold and D’Brickashaw Ferguson.
Notes from camp coming later, as well as live coverage from Michael Nash.
