It’s not quite time for free agency yet, but the Jets have begun to make some moves to get the offense in the right direction.

As reported by the Daily News, the Jets have come to terms on a three-year contract, keeping Jeff Cumberland in town.  At the time of this post, no financials have been released regarding the contract.

This will not preclude the Jets from going after other tight ends as they have had talks about Brandon Pettigrew, Ed Dickson, and Scott Chandler.  We all know that the team will have the money to make additional moves.

Cumberland has had flashes in his first four seasons in the league, but hasn’t put it all together yet, but the Jets are confident that he can.  Here are his stats for his career so far:

Receiving & Rushing

We will see the moves that are made in the upcoming weeks.
