Well, he may not be able to remember what he says during taped interviews, but he is off to Hawaii.

Out this evening is news that Antonio Cromartie will be heading to Hawaii this week to compete in the Pro Bowl. He is the injury replacement for Aqib Talib, who was hit and injured on the play involving Wes Welker yesterday. Coach Bill Belichick called the hit one of the “worst he has ever seen”, but initial reports from the NFL support that theory that the hit was legal.

Here is the Tweet from the Jets:

Congrats to @CRO31! He is headed to Hawaii, replacing the injured Aqib Talib of New England in the Pro Bowl.

It was not the best year for Antonio, a lot of that being the result of a hip injury that he was playing through. However, we saw that he was named to the team as a second alternate, and now with the injury to Talib, he gets the call. Congrats to Antonio.
