Despite the fact that the Jets lost by forty points yesterday, there were still a couple of performances worthy of earning their wings. After searching through the wreckage, here is what was left:

MUHAMMAD WILKERSON: Despite the fact that the defense got torn up all day, Wilkerson did have a good game, posting one sack and an interception of a deflected pass. That’s sack number seven on the year for Wilkerson, who seems to be making an impact on every game, win or lose.

DAVID NELSON: In a game where nothing went right on offense, David Nelson showed himself as a guy that should stick around here in the future. Somehow, he managed eight receptions for 80 yards. He and Geno seem to be growing some chemistry, which is nice to see as we move forward.

NICK FOLK: Nick Folk is a guy that the Jets can count on, no matter what. Again he was perfect with his field goals, including a season long 50 yard kick. As much as I have wanted him off the team in the past, he is our kicker and always should be. The “Folk Hero” to the rescue!

Anyone else deserve wings in your books?
