Pittsburgh Steelers vs. New York Jets: Weather Report

Jets RB Bilal Powell will be a big factor in the Jets running game down this important stretch for the Jets.

Week six is upon us and now it’s time for the New York Jets to suit up and host the Pittsburgh Steelers with kickoff at 1:05 p.m. at MetLife Stadium.

According to the National Weather Forecast, here’s a look at what the conditions should be:

“A slight chance of light rain before noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 70. Chance of precipitation is 20%.”

So… it’s my favorite question, who does the weather favor?

If the weather stays clear, it makes the conditions a wash, but if the track is in any way shape or form, that favors a team with a solid running game. As of right now, that favors Gang Green.

Bilal Powell has been running really well this season (78 carries, 330 yards, 1 TD) and now that they have the compliment of backs, Chris Ivory and Mike Goodson; I believe that the strong running attack will continue.

For the Jets to win this game, the offense needs to be solid and not make any mistakes. I know Pittsburgh has been struggling and they don’t have a win but there defense including Troy Polamalu and LaMarr Woodley are still pretty lethal. And I do take their track record of what they can do if your team makes a mistake.

Even though the Steelers don’t have a win yet, I still worry about Ben Rothlisberger. He’s still very elusive so, the Jets defense needs to be able to wrap up when they tackle.

If they play as well as they did Monday night, then this team will be 4-2 on the season.
