As you all know by now, the Jets got it done last night, beating the Falcons 30-28. It was an excellent game, and earned Geno Smith his first win on the road. Who earned their wings?

GENO SMITH: As we said earlier, this young man grew up right before our eyes last night. Geno Smith backed up his apologies with improvement on the field. No interceptions and no fumbles. Geno was smart, decisive, and protective of the ball when he was under duress. Add that to the fact that when the Jets needed plays, Geno made those plays, and you have a quarterback that is growing up quickly.

16-20 for 199 yards and three touchdowns is nothing to sneeze at. Great job!

JEFF CUMBERLAND: Look at this guy, with a huge coming out party in Atlanta under the lights! Three catches for 79 yards, and a huge 20 yard touchdown hookup with Geno highlighted a terrific night for the tight end position. Jeff Cumberland is a lot quicker than he looks, and he can be quite the difference maker if he establishes himself as a weapon for Geno Smith.

DEFENSIVE FRONT SEVEN: Mo Wilkerson had a huge game, we talked about it this morning. But, this entire group was wonderful last night, highlighted by the goal line stand to close the first half. The Falcons kept trying to run against this group, trying to make a statement that they weren’t afraid. Well, the Jets made a statement right back. “We are gonna take you out anyway.” And that is what they did, so wings go out to all of them.

NICK FOLK: And finally, how can we not acknowledge Nick Folk, Mr. Money in the Bank? Another game winning field goal under his belt, adding to a terrific career with the Jets. Talk about any kicker you like in this league, I’ll take Nick Folk. Automatic.
