Well, we finally know that Mark Sanchez can get fired up, although it is too little, too late.
After reports came out last night that Mark’s season was over due to a torn labrum in his shoulder, Mark stepped out today, letting the world know that he is not interested in ending his season, and that he earned the right to play when healthy.
“I won the competition,” Sanchez said. “There’s no doubt.”
I don’t remember hearing Mark ever get that fired up. Here’s the thing, at this point, the comments are irrelevant.
All Mark did here was answer a question. What member of the Rex Ryan Jets has not been guilty of that at one time or another? There is no reason to be on his case over it, ladies and gentlemen.
The fact is, as long as Geno Smith continues to improve, you will not see Mark Sanchez on the field ever again anyway. So, it amounts to a frustrated player blowing off steam over being inserted into an irrelevant preseason game.
Don’t worry about it fans, just worry about your new quarterback, Mr. Geno Smith.
