It looks like the Jets have added some potential depth at the wide receiver position, and the player is a veteran.

A source is reporting that the Jets have come to terms with WR Mohamed Massaquoi. It was relayed last night that Mohamed was coming in for a tryout today, which clearly went well, as the day has brought him a contract. No financials were revealed at the time of this post.

Massaquoi spent the first four years of his career with the Cleveland Browns. His first two seasons, 2009-2010 were his best, with 34 receptions, 624 yards and 3 TDs, and 36 catches, 483 yards and 2 TDs respectively.

This move brings about two interesting questions. The first is, where is Santonio Holmes in his development really? We have heard about his answers being all over the map, what’s the truth? Secondly, is Braylon Edwards guaranteed a roster spot? I have already speculated that he is the odd man out, maybe he is.
