Chris Ivory on Saturday vs. Jaguars? Well, Maybe…

Chris Ivory is back at practice, and fully practicing. His return is not a moment too soon, as the running back situation has been a question mark at best so far. Bilal Powell is doing well, but the Jets need their three year, $10 million man to start doing what we have been waiting for him to do. RUN OVER PEOPLE!

However, it sounds like we may not get to see it on Saturday night against Jacksonville. Last weekend, Ivory was sure that he was going to play on Saturday. Now, not so much:

I don’t know that just yet, but it’s a possibility.

His playing is a question mark, despite the fact that he is physically 100%. According to Chris, his hamstring is fine, and he is all ready to go with the playbook. It took him a couple of reps during practice to forget about the hamstring, but once he did, he was all set.

If he doesn’t play on Saturday, don’t be too concerned, since he is practicing in full. You can’t be too careful with a hamstring, especially during the preseason. If you don’t watch out, it could pop and we could lose Chris Ivory for a long time. As long as he plays in the game against the Giants, he will be ready to go come week one.
