Just a little housekeeping this afternoon, courtesy of John Idzik and company.

First we have John Griffin, who we remember was carted from the field against the Detroit Lions last week. Well, he was placed on IR today. Tough break for Griffin, who whenever he is healthy, has made an impression on the New York Jets’ staff.

In a related move, the Jets have released OL Dennis Landolt. He has been around a while, but has never been active, at least not that I can remember, so not a big shocker here.

The Jets signed an OL, Patrick Ford. He is out of Eastern Kentucky University, was undrafted out of college in this year’s NFL draft. He will have the opportunity to compete for a spot behind D’Brickashaw Ferguson and Austin Howard and offensive tackle. He also has the flexibility to play guard, which we all know his important to Rex. We all know how important that OL depth is.

He had knee surgery in October of last year, so we will see where he is.
