Bad news this afternoon for Joe McKnight fans.

Joe McKnight was placed on the PUP list today, after reporting to camp. The report from several sources is indicating that he failed his conditioning test upon arrival at camp, prompting his placement on the PUP list. As with Holmes, he can come off the list as soon as he passes.

Not a good sign for a guy that has talked a lot about making his mark on the team this season. Many Jets fans were excited to see him work in this offense, and now that will be delayed.

In other news, Mike Goodson was placed on the “reserve/did not report” list, but according to coach Ryan, the team was expecting him not to show, and understands the reason for it, so he is not facing any disciplinary action.

And finally, the team released two players, DE Jake McDonough and WR Thomas Mayo, with injury settlements.

Onward and upward fans, workouts start tomorrow.

It turns out that McKnight is on the active, non football injury list, not the PUP, just for some housekeeping.
