Well, most of us saw this coming, but it was made official today.
We are now officially delayed in seeing the return of our number one wide receiver, Santonio Holmes. Per the NFL Network’s Ian Rappaport, Holmes has been placed on the PUP (Physically Unable to Perform List) to start training camp.
The preseason PUP list does not affect the regular season. Once Holmes is ready to pass his physical, he can come off of the list. The difference comes if he isn’t ready to start the season. The PUP list for the regular season would force Santonio to miss the first six games of the year.
Holmes is not the only one starting camp on the PUP list. Here are the rest of the players beginning camp on the list: Junior Aumavae (NT) Rontez Miles (FS) Mike Edwards (CB) Darrin Walls (CB) Jake McDonough (DE)
I guess there will be plenty of players starting on, what Mike Westhoff used to call, the Tour de France.
