Just a little bit of roster housecleaning from earlier today, courtesy of our New York Jets.

The Jets have released WR Antavious Wilson. He joined the Jets as an undrafted free agent (05/10/13) after finishing his collegiate career at Marshall. In 2012, he logged 69 receptions for 741 yards and nine touchdowns.

They claimed another receiver, and he doesn’t have to move too far. The Jets have signed undrafted free agent wide receiver Marcus Davis, previously with our neighbors, the New York Giants. He entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Giants (05/10/13), before he was released following rookie mini-camp (05/12/13). In four seasons at Virginia Tech, he played in 53 games and caught 105 passes for 1,827 yards and 13 touchdowns. In 2012, Davis led the Hokies with 51 catches for 953 yards and five touchdowns.

The day never ends for John Idzik. He is working hard to get the Jets some weapons on the outside, since he didn’t address it during the NFL draft. We will see what happens with these guys moving forward as we head towards OTAs.
