The draft may be over, but the work for John Idzik and the New York Jets is never over. Now is the period where the teams go back and sign the players that weren’t drafted, otherwise known as UDFA’s. Here is the list we know of so far, courtesy of our buddy Jake Steinberg from The Jets Blog:

Pitt TE Michael Shanahan

Lehigh WR Ryan Spadola

Hawaii CB Mike Edwards

Texas A& M DT Spencer Nealy

Cal of PA FS Rontes Miles

Boston College TE Chris Pantale

Bethune-Cookman WR KJ Stroud

South Florida OG Mark Popek

Iowa State DT Jake McDonough

Clemson C Dalton Freeman

Eastern Illinois DT Roosevelt Holliday

Marshall WR Antavious Wilson

Tenn WR Zach Rogers (per alternative source)

Northern Arizona RT Trey Gilleo

UCF DE Troy Davis

Hawaii P Alex Dunnachie

As the coming days go by, we will take a look at these prospects.  As a whole, I am happy to see that they addressed the wide receiver position finally.  It still isn’t enough, and most of us won’t be happy until Idzik resigns Braylon Edwards.  But these seem to be all good depth ideas, we shall see how they work out come minicamp.

Sean Durham actually took a look at the young tight end Chris Pantale way back at the East/West Shrine game, take a look.
