So it turns out that the Jets are interested in a pretty hot commodity.

Prior to the NFL Combine, Tavon Austin was looked as tops, a mid-first round selection. Then, he lit it up at the Combine, and is stock went through the roof. The Jets are showing great interest in him, and it is said not to be a smokescreen, that they are legitimately interested with the number 9 pick.

Well, the Jets aren’t the only ones. There is a report that several teams are looking to trade ahead of the Jets in order to secure Tavon Austin’s selection.  The Rams, for example, are noted as a candidate to trade up for Austin, with two picks on the first round (#16, and #22).

The Bills have also leaked that, at the # spot, Austin tops their big board as well, although it is said they have not made a committment to choose the wide receiver.

The teams without a choice in the first round are certainly candidates to move into the round as well.

One thing is for sure.  It is shaping up to be a wild ride tonight at Radio City Music Hall.
