Now the trade is a done deal. Darrelle Revis is property of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Ian Rappaport is reporting that Darrelle has signed his contract with the Bucs, for 6 years, $96 million, with none of it guaranteed.  The contract was agreed upon after the trade between the Jets and Bucs was finalized.  In exchange for Darrelle, the Jets received the Bucs’ first round pick on Thursday night (#13 overall), and a conditional pick in 2014, either a 3rd or a fourth round pick.  The round is contingent upon Revis being on the Tampa roster on the third day of the 2014 league year. It’s an interesting set of events, as many of us were expecting the Jets to come back with 3 picks in the trade.  The more I think about it, the more we have to temper that with the fact that we don’t know what type of player Revis is going to be following the injury.  We really didn’t have a great deal of leverage here.  Being able to get a top 15 pick, along with a second pick, for a guy coming off of ACL surgery is not a bad haul. I don’t believe that John Idzik is done either.  Let’s see what the corresponding moves are.

So, what do you guys think?  Vote on the trade below:
