OK gang, who misses football? I know I am missing it pretty badly, that’s for sure.
We have the draft coming up, which is the first big event to bring us into the new football year. Another indicator is when schedules beging to come out. The regular season schedule is set to be released on April 16th, but this afternoon, we have the preseason schedule. Is it great football? Of course not, but it is something. Here it is:
Week 1(Aug 8-11)-at Detroit Lions
Week 2(Aug 15-19)-vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Week 3(Aug 22-25)-at New York Giants
Week 4(Aug 29-30)-vs. Philadelphia Eagles
The specific dates for each game have not been set as of yet.
Like I said before, these games don’t mean very much, other than to see our roster get put together. But, it’s a sign. A sign that football is coming back. For those of us that are dying to watch football again, any news about any games is good news.
As far as the Jets schedule, they have the annual Eagles game, and the Giants annual game. It’s fun when the Giants game is the third week because we can see the starters go the longest in that game.
It’s football, even though it’s preseason.
