Well at least we won’t have to see his face as much, if at all, on the NFL Network anymore.
Multiple reports have come out over the last hour that former Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum has signed with the firm “Priority Sports”, to be an agent. He will be heading up the group that represents professional football and basketball coaches.
It would seem that this is a good fit for Mike, as his background in sports management and accounting should lend itself well.
I know that I was getting sick of hearing from him on the NFL network, so him taking a job that is not on the television is not the least bit upsetting. However, one thing that has to be said.
Could you imagine, if Rex is let go at the end of the year, the Jets start looking for a head coach, and the candidate they decide on is represented by Mike Tannenbaum? Talk about an interesting negotiation. Like the ex working with the current spouse. Just one opinion, we shall see what happens.
