Happy Tuesday ladies and gentlemen. As we move ahead towards the big night, April 25th, and the first round of the NFL draft, we continue to look at what the experts around the country have to say, via their mock drafts. This evening, we have one from an analyst that I haven’t seen yet.

Akbar Gbajabiamila had a short career in the NFL, playing defensive end for the Raiders, Chargers, and Dolphins between the years of 2003-2007. He now works as an analyst with the NFL Network, and has released a mock draft of his own. Let’s see who he has chosen for our beloved New York Jets…….

Ansah is very raw — who better to shape a young talent than Rex Ryan? Ansah could fill the Jets’ long-standing pass-rush need.

As these mocks start to come together, it seems that they are pretty much all starting to agree that Dion Jordan will not be available to the Jets when the ninth pick goes on the clock.  Jordan has become regarded as the most complete player amongst the guys that rush from the edge, but there is a decent chance he won’t be available, so we have to look at the other prospects for the Jets.

He is a guy that the Jets would do well with, as he was my choice in my latest mock as well.  To see what I had to say about him recently in our profile on Ziggy, click here.

As Akbar pointed out, Ziggy’s talents are a bit raw.  He doesn’t have a great deal of experience at the college level, which can be dicey as he makes the jump to the next level.  He needs to increase his arsenal of pass rush moves a bit.
