It’s been a mock draft afternoon at the J-E-T Press. Earlier today, Sean L Durham took a look at the weekly edition of the Fansided mock draft. I, on the other hand, am going to take a look at another mock from one of the experts.

You all know by now, every expert on the dial or in cyberspace have their own version of what is going to happen come April 25th. As the big day comes closer, the drafts start to align with each other, and have similar, if not the same picks. Rob Rang is no different.

Rang is a writer for the Sports Xchange and We have looked at one of his previous mocks, where he had the Jets choosing Matt Barkley(right).  Well, he has since dropped that notion, as we know that the Jets are not likely to look at Barkley at #9.

His newest version of the draft is one that a great many Jets fans will be happy with.  His choice?  Wait for it………………

Wait for it………………..

The primary pass-rushers in Rex Ryan’s 3-4 defense are supposed to be the outside linebackers but that wasn’t the case for the Jets a season ago, who received minimal production out of the position. Jordan has the potential to warrant top five consideration but teams could hesitate to pull the trigger this high due to less-than-ideal production and durability. Ryan, however, could be overwhelmed with Jordan’s undeniable upside.

You can take a look at Rang’s entire draft by clicking here.

There is a lot of love for Dion Jordan amongst this fan base, us included.  At the present, he really is the most complete player of these edge rushers coming out this month.  I thought I would just leave you with some highlights to enjoy:

Needless to say, we would be thrilled to pieces if Jordan makes his way into the Jets’ laps.
