By Alan Schechter

It’s time once again for “Tweet Speak”, the article that is dictated by you the fans. We give you the topic, you send in the tweets, and we include them right here.

With free agency continuing to progress as we speak, and the draft rapidly approaching, we put new Jets’ general manager John Idzik in the spotlight. I asked to hear opinions on how John Idzik has handled the early stages of free agency so far, and here is what you, the fans, had to say:

@thejetpress I love what I have seen so far. Not overspending on free agents, not reaching for the (cont)

I couldn’t embed Evan’s entire tweet, but he continued to talk about that John is seeking out value picks, and not allowing any leaks with regards to the Revis situation. I totally agree with Evan, as I have talked about before on this site. The team is focused on itself, not the press, and John Idzik is a big reason why.

Great point by Tyler here. The fact that there hasn’t been a lot for the media to talk about, really makes the media to be the circus, not the team. The media is quick to call them a circus, when in fact, it really is most of them.

@thejetpress Extremely professional! As a fan, I am very impressed with his handling of the media, especially #Tebow and #Revis ?’s! #Jets

@thejetpress enjoying the media blackout like the lack of leaks

@thejetpress my only problem so far not keeping Keller.

So, other than letting Keller go, the resounding feeling is a whole lot of positivity for the way John Idzik is handling things, and I totally agree. There is a new sheriff in town, and his name is Idzik. Isn’t it great?
