Well, our old friend is taking his football talent to South Beach after all.
After working out in Miami, as we reported last night, Dustin Keller did leave Miami without an offer. Miami wanted to test the market by seeing what the other tight ends were going to earn. Well in this classic game of “Chcken”, the Dolphins have blinked.
Rich Cimini is reporting that Dustin Keller has come to terms with the Miami Dolphins on a one year contract. This is certainly a far cry from the multi-year deal he was surely expecting, but he joins a Dolphins team that has already added Mike Wallace on the outside and Dannell Ellerbee on defense.
The Dolphins are really trying to come on strong for 2013 with these acquistions.
This while the Jets seem to lose players left and right. Yes they finally signed one in Mike Goodson, but it still seems that the Jets roster is shrinking for faster that it grows.
You would think that we could just admit that we are rebuilding, for now.
