Could a former New York Jets be “taking his game to South Beach”? It sounds like it.

According to Adam Schefter, the Miami Dolphins have scheduled a visit with Dustin Keller. Yesterday, the Dolphins were amongst the biggest players in the free agent market with the signings of Mike Wallace and Dannell Ellerbe. Today, they look to continue to make noise, potentially, but having Dustin in for a visit.

I know that Jets Nation is fairly split about Dustin Keller, so I am going to add this much: Please don’t let him go to the Dolphins. I know the Jets don’t really have a say in the matter, obviously, it’s just that this idea of letting guys go to a division rival never really works out too well. Talk to coach Mangini about how letting his starting quarterback move to a team in his division worked out. Not well from our perspective.

What can we hope for? Maybe Keller making demands that the Dolphins can’t provide? Whatever it takes, I just don’t want to see him twice per year, every year.

That never really works out.
