Well, at least there is SOME reward to finishing 6-10.
The NFL has released the report on each team’s strength of schedule, and the Jets are sitting with a pretty manageable schedule. With opponent’s records of 127-129, the Jets have the 13th easiest schedule for 2013. What will that amount to? Only time will tell. Here is the breakdown by team:Team
SOSOpponent recordCarolina Panthers
138-118-0New Orleans Saints
137-117-2St. Louis Rams
137-119-0Green Bay Packers
133-123-0San Francisco 49ers
129-125-2New England Patriots
128-127-1Tampa Bay Buccaneers
127-128-1New York Jets
124-130-2New York Giants
120-134-2Kansas City Chiefs
117-137-2San Diego Chargers
For what it’s worth, it’s not too rough for them next year. Things can change on a dime in the NFL, so it doesn’t necessarily mean a lot, but it’s worth noting. We will see what happens.
