Darrelle Revis Responds via Twitter to Trade Rumors

I guess that “Revis Island” is as shocked as we were to hear about the rumors that he might be traded.

Darrelle Revis took to Twitter earlier today to share his thoughts about the rumors:

I’m speechless by far but more importantly I feel more upset for the jet nation for having to go through this!!!

He followed up with:

I guess we’ll see how this plays out.

Clearly, Darrelle is not thrilled to hear about this. He wants to remain a New York Jet for life, as most of us would love to see. Like I have said before, they woudln’t be doing their job if they didn’t explore the possibility, for the greater good of the team. However, they should still be careful to handle the relationship the correct way. They don’t want the relationship between player and team to become so toxic that they have to take ANY offer to trade him.

They have to keep him happy enough where he will still be willing to stay. It’s a fine line. Be careful, John Idzik and company.
