Hey Jet Pressers and Jets fans, we are looking for you. Do you love following the draft class? Do you enjoy talking about who would be the best fit for the Jets to draft? Do you have any interest in being a sportswriter? If you answered yes to any of these questions, the J-E-T Press has an opening for you.

We are looking for 2-3 writers to help with our college draft coverage. You will write up player scouting reports, reviewing mock drafts, talking about Jets team needs, and similar assignments as necessary. Your requirement will be to write once per week, more if you feel comfortable. If chosen, your work will be featured on the Sports Illustrated website, as we work to cover all ends of the NFL draft and how it relates to our team, the New York Jets.

So, how can you try out? Simple. Write a sample post for me, around 300-500 words, regarding the upcoming NFL draft, Jets needs, etc. Pick an angle you feel comfortable with and write me an article about what you think. Don’t just report information, share what you think about what the Jets need, or the player you choose to write about….etc. Write it and email it directly to me at I am going to set a deadline of 2 weeks from tonight, February 5th. If you write well enough, you are in! It’s that simple.

So, Jet Pressers that love the draft…..start writing, and good luck.
