There isn’t a lot to talk about at this point, other than the general manager search. Oh, we can look ahead to the draft like we have been doing, speculating on who would be a good fit, and things like that. We can also start to speculate as to who will be back next year. like we have started with the “Out the Door, Back for More” column. But we won’t know a lot until a general manager is hired, and we see what their vision is for the team.

So, I thought it might be time to have a little bit of fun this evening. One bright spot in a dull 2012 season was the play of the safeties, especially the play of LaRon Landry. He has been given the nickname “Dirty Thirty” for the power of the hits he lays on opponents. Instead of looking ahead, let’s take a few minutes and look back at one of the most exciting players on the Jets roster in 2012.

And now some highlights from the preseason game against the Panthers:

Everyone join me in the hope that Landry is back in 2013.
