There may be one knock on the Tony Sparano led offense.

Not according to coach Ryan, but according to the stats. Rex praised his new offensive coordinator’s ability to lead the 2 minute, saying “Nobody has done it better than the Dolphins in the last few years,”. Well coach, not really.

During Sparano’s tenure with the Dolphins (2008-2011), the Dolphins scored a league low 11 TDs in the final two minutes of each half, and the third lowest point total at 146. They had 145 drives within the last 2 minutes of each half, which was good for ninth most in the league. It’s not like they didn’t have opportunities.

He’s captain of protecting the football, but Sparano is not the Captain of the Two Minute drill, that is for certain, so far.
