According to an ESPN SportsNation poll, Mark Sanchez should be the guy under center for the New York Jets.

The poll asked “Who should start at quarterback for the Jets?”, and as of late Saturday afternoon, Sanchez led Tim Tebow by a margin of 62% to 38%, which is how it should be. Not meaning any disrespect to Tim Tebow and the Tebowmaniacs, but Mark Sanchez is the starting quarterback of this football team. He’s the better quarterback by far, and barring a camp injury, Mark Sanchez will be the starting quarterback.

If Sanchez doesn’t play well, then it could be a different situation.

Sanchez outplayed Tebow in OTAs the other day, but that doesn’t say that much, since Tim Tebow has never been known as a big time practice player. His best has been in the fourth quarter of games, and if a Tebow fourth quarter comeback does happen, there could be problems.

For now, Sanchez is the fans choice. And it should be, as Mark Sanchez is the logical choice too.
