There is a story that surfaced this morning that may have turned out to be false. I figured we need to bring it to you anyway, just in case.

Supposedly, Antonio Cromartie was moved to call the police after receiving the following text message from his wife:

“God forgive me, I don’t want to die. What have I done?” and “I cut my wrists. I took those pills.”

He called the police and informed them that there might be a problem at his house about his wife, that she was bleeding from cut wrists.

If this is true, she faked the attempt because she felt that Antonio was cheating on her. He does have eight kids with seven other women.

The incident supposedly took place on May 6, 2011. When the police told Mrs. Cromartie that she needed involuntary committment, she became beligerent and uncooperative.

I keep saying “if”, and “supposedly”, because I have heard reports since hearing about this, that it actually is entirely false. Very sad, but unfortunately not a story I have trouble believing.
