This afternoon we take a closer look at one of the newest Jets, chosen at the end of the day yesterday. Spotlight on Jordan White, WR, Western Michigan.
Here is some video to get you going:
He clearly is a consistent performer, with 140 catches last season, and 94 the year before. His yardage totalled 1,911 yards in 2011, 1,378 in 2010, with 27 TDs over the 2 years time. For a full scouting report, visit our friends at nflmocks.com.
He measures at 6’0″ 208 pounds, and ran a 4.69 40 yard dash.
PROS: He clearly is an NFL ready route runner. He has good hands, and is very willing to go across the middle to make the catch. He is also physical enough to subtly shuck receivers at the top of his routes to get open.
CONS: His speed isn’t elite at 4.69, although it’s good. He also telegraphs his routes a bit, he will have to learn to make every route look the same at the next level.
He will get a chance to compete and be a New York Jet, he has the talent to contribute.
