The draft has closed, and the Jets had two picks in the final round.

The first was Antonio Allen, a safety from South Carolina University. Good value here as he was expected to go earlier.

The second was Jordan White, WR from Western Michigan.

Another pick to add depth to the wide receiver corps. Here is Bucky Brooks’ take on both of these guys:

On Allen

The Jets are intent on improving the safety situation, so Allen is added to the mix as a backup candidate. If he can put it together in training camp, Allen could factor into the team’s plan in 2012.

On White

White has a legitimate shot to make the team as a fifth receiver. He displays a game that is ready-made for the pros and could develop into a key contributor, despite his late-round status.
