Today we take a look at another low round, value pick possibility for the New York Jets. We will take a look at a guy you might not know much about, spotlight, Brandon Lindsey, DE from Pittsburgh.
For a full scouting report, take a look here
He weighs in at 6’2″ 254 pounds.
He played both defensive end and outside linebacker, and shows raw ability as a pass rusher, with 22.5 sacks for his college career, 8.5 as a senior. Lindsey is also an agressive tackler, with 11 tackles for a loss in 2011 as well.
He didn’t have a great combine workout, running only a 4.93 40 yard dash.
Pros: He takes aggressive angles to the ball. He has good vision, reacts well to plays in the flat as well as misdirections. He uses his strong, violent hands to create space.
Cons: He is inconsistent in shedding blocks. He lacks elite speed, and he lacks the size to excute a bull rush.
Take a look at the video, and you be the judge:
Not projected to go very high either, could be a value pick to rush the passer, late in the draft. He seems to have a lot of raw ability if you ask me.
