Jets Trying to Limit Tebowmania, At Least for Now

The Jets have a new backup QB, we all know about it by now. One of the most popular athletes in the world is now in Florham Park, and one who generates more publicity than any backup athlete should.

Apparently, the Jets are trying to reign in that problem in the early going. Reports are coming out that the Jets are trying to limit Tebow’s outside pursuits, such as doing a weekly radio show.

Trouble is Tebow can do whatever he wants. If he wants to take his celebrity to the radio once a week, the Jets have no standing to stop him. Tim Tebow can be front and center as much or as little as he wants.

Tebow is being careful, not trying to outshine the incumbent quarterback, Mark Sanchez, as the Jets are still trying to make us believe that they want him to be the starter.

At least for now they are.
