Teammates can’t see Santonio Holmes returning to Jets

The Santonio Holmes saga has hit day 3.

According to the New York Daily News, a New York Jets veteran doesn’t think Holmes will be a Jet next season.

“I don’t see how he can come back,” according to the Jets veteran.

When asked if that was the majority opinion of the locker room, the veteran said “yes.”

Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News apparently told Profootballtalk that Holmes doesn’t respect quarterback Mark Sanchez.

Last week, Holmes skipped out on a Sanchez called meeting, a day after giving Sanchez a hard time.
