Tannenbaum to media: We expect Schotty back

Perhaps oblivious to the fact that his offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer is interviewing for the head coaching position at Jacksonville, New York Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum said today that he “expects him back next season.”

Regardless of whether Tannenbaum is being nice to Schotty and refraining from any negative comments that could impact his chance at a head coaching job, there should be no way the Jets bring him back as coordinator next season.

As far as quarterback Mark Sanchez, Tannenbaum said “as far as the starter in 2012 goes, it’s Mark.”
