Is the future of New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez in jeopardy?

A league source reportedly told ProFootballTalk that the Jets are beginning to realize that Sanchez may not be what the team needs to succeed.

While head coach Rex Ryan has had nothing but praise for the Sanchize, the Jets are quietly determining their options. Sanchez’s bse salary will be $8.5 million in 2012, less than half of what the top quarterbacks are paid.

Drafted in 2009, his five-year contract expires after the 2013 season.

Look for offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer to get the boot before Sanchez as the team will most likely give #6 one more chance to succeed with a solid gameplan and offensive line.
