Jets Jeremy Kerley misses 2nd straight day of practice

New York Jets WR Jeremy Kerley missed his second straight practice with an undisclosed illness.
Kerley, regaining the punt return responsibilities when S Jim Leonhard went down, will be a big loss for the Jets if he’s not healthy by Saturday. Kerley has become Mark Sanchez’s go-to-guy on third downs this season.
Jets coach Rex Ryan said they sent Kerley home Wednesday morning because he was so ill but expects him to be fine for Saturday.
The bug seems to be going around as Plaxico Burress is also battling a cold and was limited in practice Wednesday.
