The New York Jets aren’t the only ones with some banged up players.

After reporting that kick returner Joe McKnight has a separated shoulder and could miss Saturday’s game against the New York Giants, word out of Giants camp is that Osi Umenyiora and Jake Ballard will miss the game as well.

For Umenyiora, it will be his fourth consecutive game missed due to a sprained ankle.

“He has no push off the ankle right now,’’ said a source.

Head coach Tom Coughlin is worried that Umenyiora will be lost for the season. “I’m very concerned because we were hoping we’d have him back. We’d have to have some major improvement to be able to say that he could go.’’

As for Ballard, after injuring his posterior cruciate ligament in Sunday’s 23-10 loss to the Redskins, he will miss this week’s game, and possibly more.

Coughlin believes the new injury is related to an old PCL problem for Ballard.

“I am hoping it is not a season-ender,’’ Coughlin said. “It depends on how fast the knee will come around and we are just going to have to wait and see.’’

With 38 receptions for 604 yards and four touchdowns, Ballard has become a favorite target for quarterback Eli Manning.
