Blackout at 49ers game accompanied by bomb threat

There was more than just two blackouts during yesterday’s Pittsburgh Steelers vs. San Francisco 49ers game;  NFL officials and law enforcement authorities revealed that a bomb threat came via phone before the opening kickoff of the game.

According to WLS 890AM in San Francisco, a short search for an explosive device resulted in a conclusion that the threat wasn’t credible.

The first power outage came before the game and was caused by a transformer explosion. A second outage occurred during the second quarter of the 20-3 win by the 49ers over the Steelers.
