Probably lost in Sunday’s New York Jets victory over the Washington Redskins was tight end Matthew Mulligan and his attempt to fight a Jets coach on the sideline at the start of the third quarter.

After coming off the field due to a false-start penalty, his sixth penalty of the season, Mulligan had to be restrained by his teammates from what appeared to be running back coach Anthony Lynn. The video is below.

Mulligan couldn’t be reached after the game to comment.  This isn’t the first time controversy has surrounded the 3rd year player from Maine.  Earlier in the season, we highlighted an incident where Mulligan was called out by guard Brandon Moore after a holding penalty negated a Shonn Greene run.
