Denver Broncos waive Kyle Orton
By Marc A. Greenberg

ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that the Denver Broncos have waived quarterback Kyle Orton.
While the move makes some sense, Tim Tebow has shown he will be the Broncos quarterback this season, Orton is now available to any team that puts in a waiver claim for him. That means playoff hopefuls such as the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans, can acquire an experienced QB, hurting not only the Broncos playoffs chances, but the New York Jets chances at the playoffs as well.
At 5-5, both the Broncos and Jets are fighting to catch the Cincinnati Bengals who, at 6-4, hold the second and final Wild card playoff spot.
Orton was scheduled to make $2.5 million the remainder of the season.
