Jets Schottenheimer has no excuse for loss to Patriots

Rich Cimini of ESPN New York has some stats from Sunday Night’s New York Jets loss to the New England Patriots that may alarm you.

Patriots head coach Bill Belichick started two undrafted rookies, S Sterling Moore and LB Jeff Tarpinian, who, prior to the game, had never played a single snap in the NFL before.  Moore never even played Safety before.

Can you imagine what an opposing offensive coordinator would have done to the Jets with those players on the field?

For the Jets, Brian Schottenheimer seemed to ignore the players and go about his plan as usual.   Inexcusable.  We’ve said it time and time again, Schotty is not getting it done this season.  The deep pass has been non-existent for the Jets and the offense has yet to develop a nice flow during a game after they appear to be on track.
