Apparently the New York Jets had it all wrong.  You don’t need to throw the ball to win in the NFL.  Just ask Tim Tebow.

The Denver Broncos quarterback, in defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 17-10 on Sunday, completed two passes.

Two.  Passes.

And he won.

And the Broncos suffered injuries to two of their running backs, Willis McGahee (hamstring) and Knowshon Moreno (knee).   That left Lance Ball to run the ball 30 times for 96 yards in the option offense led by Tebow.

With the victory, the Broncos are now 4-5 and tied with the Chiefs and San Diego Chargers who are all one game behind AFC West leading Oakland Raiders (5-4).

Tebow finished 2 of 8 for 69 yards, but added 43 yards on 9 rushes with a TD on the ground.

The Jets will get a first hand look when they visit Denver on Thursday night.
