UPDATE: Leigh Bodden Waiver Update

Former New England Patriots cornerback Leigh Bodden cleared waivers Monday with no NFL team choosing to select him.

That means Bodden is free to sign wherever he wants as a free agent.  It also means the Patriots are on the hook for Bodden’s remaining salary (about $2.1 million) from the $3.9 million total.

The New York Jets have kept silent on Bodden, but signing the 30 year old would be an upgrade to their 3rd or 4th cornerback situation, despite the recent surge from Kyle Wilson.
