Dolphins Owner Ross reaches out to Cowher’s Agent
By Marc A. Greenberg

Even Rodney Dangerfield got more respect than Miami Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano.
Flashback to last season: Dolphins Owner Stephen Ross met with Jim Harbaugh about the head coach position while Sparano was still the coach.
Now, Albert Breer of the NFL Network is reporting that Ross has reached out to Bill Cowher’s agent about taking over the team.
Yes, Tony Sparano is still the coach. Yes, Sparano knows it’s only a matter of time before he gets the ax, but this has to be difficult on him.
As for Cowher, Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports reported that Cowher has “planted seeds” that he’d be interested in the Miami job, but won’t speak to any team that has a coach in place. That means Sparano must go before Cowher will talk.
What a mess in Miami.
