Chicago Bears release Safety Chris Harris

The Chicago Bears have released Safety Chris Harris.
Harris,29, posted a Twitter message relaying the message to his fans.
“I was just released this morning by the Bears. Thank u for the opp to play football n do what I luv. I’m looking toward my next venture,” Harris wrote. “This Business known as the
#
NFL is a strange one. Chicago I want to thank u for all the luv u have shown me over the yrs. u will b missed.”
Harris was a second team All Pro last year and has a $1.095 million contract that can be claimed by any team.
He requested a trade last week after being benched and missed three games this season with a hamstring injury that the Bears apparently don’t believe has fully healed.
No word on whether the New York Jets have an interest in Harris.
