The Washington Redskins season just got a little bit longer.

After losing to the Carolina Panthers 33-20, the Redskins revealed that WR Santana Moss will undergo surgery on his broken hand and will out be indefinitely.

Head coach Mike Shanahan confirmed the surgery and said Moss will be out 5-7 weeks.

The New York Jets visit the Redskins on Dec. 4, which is 6 weeks away.

After starting the season 3-1, the Skins have lost two in a row and appear lost on offense.  Being without Moss is a tremendous loss as no wide receiver other than Jabar Gaffney has more than 60 yards on the season.
