Ravens Haloti Ngata Fined for Hit on Mark Sanchez Sunday Night

Sounds like the imprint of his facemask that Haloti Ngata left on Mark Sanchez will be costly.

A source has indicated that the NFL has decided to fine Haloti Ngata $15,000 for his hit on Mark Sanchez in Sunday night’s game.  You’ll remember Ngata caused a sack fumble when he hit Sanchez from behind.  The NFL has levied the fine due to the fact that Haloti appeared to lower his head and lead with it driving into Sanchez.

Good call by the NFL on a play that should have been a penalty.  Referee Mike Carey was too busy watching Mark Sanchez’s arm to notice the missle flying into his back I guess.
